Today’s the day. I’m finally on my way to Thailand.
After waiting for what felt like forever, it’s actually happening. One last check. Passport, COVID papers, travel docs. Everything’s there. I leave the house and head to the train station.
On the train I call Noi for a bit, just to share the moment. Then before I know it, I’m at Schiphol. The security line takes a while, but that’s part of it. Eventually I get through and make my way to the gate for my Lufthansa flight to Munich.
Munich airport gives me some time to slow down. Grab some food, walk around a bit, just take it all in. Then it’s time again.
Now I’m standing at the gate for Bangkok. The Airbus A350 is right there, waiting. That feeling hits. This is it.
