A Day at the Temple. Exploring Pattaya’s Spiritual Side

Today, Noi and I stepped away from the coffee shop for a bit and went to visit one of the temples here in Pattaya. The moment we arrived, everything slowed down. It’s always the same feeling at a temple. Quiet, calm, and a completely different atmosphere from the city.

Noi took her time to pray, like she always does. Watching her is something I’ve come to appreciate more and more. It’s not complicated, but it’s meaningful. She lit incense, made her offerings, and stood there for a moment in silence. You can see how natural it is for her. It’s just part of life here.

While she was praying, I walked around the temple grounds with my camera. Thai temples never disappoint. The details, the colors, the craftsmanship. Everywhere you look, there’s something worth capturing. Golden Buddha statues, detailed wall art, and those typical architectural elements you only really see here. I spent some time filming and taking photos, trying to capture the feeling of the place.

What stood out most today was the contrast. Just a short drive away, Pattaya is busy and loud. Here, everything feels still. No rush, no noise, just space to breathe. It makes you realize how important it is to slow down sometimes.

If you’re in Pattaya, visiting a temple is something I would always recommend. You don’t have to be religious to appreciate it. It’s just a good way to step out of the usual pace and experience a different side of Thailand.
