Today, Noi and I hit the road to Koh Chang, one of my favorite islands in Thailand. It’s my second time going there, but honestly, it still feels just as exciting as the first time. The combination of the journey and the island itself always makes this trip something special.
The drive to the coast was one of those you just enjoy without rushing. We passed green landscapes, small villages, and everyday local life. As we got closer to the ferry, you could already smell the sea and feel that fresh ocean breeze. That moment always tells you. You’re almost there.
The ferry ride itself was calm and easy. Just sitting there, watching the water and slowly seeing Koh Chang appear on the horizon. It’s simple, but it gives you that relaxed feeling right away.
After arriving, we went straight to our resort by the beach. The moment we walked into the room and saw the ocean, it just clicked. This is why we came. The sound of the waves, the view, the atmosphere. Koh Chang has that mix of jungle, mountains, and clean beaches that never gets old.
In the evening, we kept things simple and stayed near the beach. No big plans, just enjoying the vibe. For dinner, we ordered spring rolls, fries, and a pizza. Not something fancy, but it was actually really good. Noi had a cold beer, I went for a cola. Exactly what you want after a warm day.
Sitting there, listening to the ocean, you realize you don’t need much more than this. That’s what makes Koh Chang so good. It’s simple, relaxed, and easy to enjoy.
Tomorrow, we’ll explore more of the island.
