Back in Pattaya. A Simple Day of Food, Views and Local Life

Today was my first day back in Pattaya. It didn’t take long to feel settled again.

Life here feels very different from the Netherlands. Less rush, less pressure. Things just move slower, and that’s something I notice more every time I come back.

We started the day simple. A visit to the local market and Makro. Walking through the market, seeing fresh food, hearing people talk, it gives you a better feeling of daily life here. It’s not something special on paper, but it’s part of the experience.

In the afternoon, we went to Pratumnak Hill. It’s one of those places where you can step away from the busy parts of Pattaya. We sat down with coffee and something small to eat, just looking out over the city. From up there, Pattaya looks completely different. More calm, more open.

After that, we took a walk around the area. No rush, just moving around and taking it in.

Later, we headed back towards Naklua Soi 16. One of those places we keep coming back to. Familiar, easy, and always good.

The evening was simple. Noi cooked, and we stayed in. Good food, no distractions, just a relaxed end to the day.

Looking back, it was a normal day. Nothing big, nothing planned. But that’s exactly what makes it good.

Being back here reminds me that you don’t need much to enjoy your day. Just the right place, the right pace, and good company.
